Oil storage bag for maintenance

Iron tank is normally used for transformer oil storage or transportation during substation maintenance. However, there are many disadvantages of iron tank: 1. It’s bulky and heavy that increase the labor cost and brings inconvenience to transportation, especial in complex terrain. 2. It’s easily corrosive and requires regular maintenance that also increases the cost. 3. Bad sealing may pollute the oil, which poses risks to transformer operation. SHIRE research team looks for a foldable and portable oil storage equipment to solve this problem.Oil storage bag is successfully developed through research in material and innovation of thermal bonding technology. It’s small, light and foldable with high strength, good sealing effect and excellent oil resistance, which enhance the maintenance quality and efficiency for power grid transformers and other equipment.

SHIRE oil storage bag for transformer maintenance is a soft container made of TPU coated fabrics by thermal bonding technology for transportation or temporary storage of oil during transformer maintenance, which can completely replace traditional iron tank.

1、New environmentally friendly polymer material

TPU is the main material of oil storage bag. It’s a new type environmentally friendly polymer material between rubber and plastic with properties of both 2 kinds of material. It has excellent wearing resistance, aging resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance, chemical resistance, weather proof with great hardness, high strength and good elasticity.

2、First “ Air side rubber - fabric- oil side rubber “ 2 material coated fabric structure.

SHIRE optimizes the inside and outside material of oil storage bag by specialized formulas. Outside material focuses on ozone resistance and inside material focuses on gas impermeability and oil compatibility, which greatly increase the service life.

3、Specialized design of sealing layer

SHIRE oil storage bag is added with a neutral shielding layer inside, which promote the sealing effect and guarantee the separation between oil and air to avoid the pollution and moisture.

4、SHIRE oil storage bag adopts double layers welding technology, which greatly enhance the seaming strength and guarantee smooth surface.

5、Specialized design of remaining oil valve

SHIRE oil storage bag is designed with a valve at the bottom, which can discharge the oil easily.

Leakage Proof: Any leakage under 10kPa compressed air is not permitted.

Oil Resistance: Transformer oil weight change should not beyond ±1%.

Tensile Strength: No less than 100 KN/m.

Tearing Strength: No less than 35 KN/m under 90°tearing.

Seaming Strength: No less than 5KN/m

Standardized specifications of oil storage bag are as follows from 1 m³ to 100 m³. It can also be customized according to the requirements.
