Traction Transformer of EMU Fuxing is Made in Datong

On June 26, the two-way launch of China Standard EMU Fuxing on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway aroused concern. Reporters learned today by interview that China Railway Datong Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Railway Datong Co.) provides the traction transformer products for the first two trains, to supply continuous power for the train "heart".

As the core component of electric locomotive and EMU, traction transformer has the title of "cardiac force". It is the power source of traction, braking, communication and other important functions of vehicles. After the 25KV high voltage on the external power grid is connected to the vehicle, the traction transformer is first used to reduce the voltage to reach the safe and available voltage before it can be used.

At present, there are two types of "Fuxing" China Standard EMUs. The traction transformer products provided by Zhongche Datong Company to the two types of EMUs are characterized by large capacity, miniaturization, low weight, and full independent intellectual property rights. At the same time, this type of transformer also has the characteristics of green energy saving, high reliability, low maintenance cost and low life cycle cost. Its technical performance has reached the world advanced level and ensured the stable and efficient operation of standard EMUs.
